Dr Elisseou – Xenofontos graduated from the National University of Athens Medical School. She was a resident in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Makarios Hospital in Nicosia and Alexandra General Hospital in Athens. She subsequently received her specialisation in Athens and worked as a research fellow, with Professor Kypros Nicolaides, at Harris Birthright Research Centre for Fetal Medicine at Kings College Hospital in London. Dr Elisseou – Xenofontos joined the Medical Centre in 1998.
Having experienced three times the experience of normal childbirth herself, she fully supports it and encourages her pregnant patients with continuous support, but also through the psycho-prophylactic courses and special seminars offered at the Mother and Child Medical Center. Dr Elisseou also supports natural childbirth after cesarean section (VBAC).
Using state of the art technologies Dr. Elisseou offers 3D and 4D ultrasounds, both in Obstetrics and Gynecology and takes on cases with repeated miscarriages and high-risk pregnancies.
The latest technological addition to Mother and Child Medical Center is the Mona Lisa laser and Dr. Elisseou deals with all its applications in Gynecology.
Dr. Elisseou has been a collaborator of the Medical School of the University of Nicosia since 2014 and has recently been promoted to a clinical assistant professor.
